The lady in red walks her journey alone

Filled with ammo and fuel while she stays in her zone.

As she walks down her path she can’t help but remember

All the hurt and the scorn that she felt in November.

Her fire is lit and burns brighter than ever

While fearing it gets dimmed by someone more clever.

She’s smart and she’s kind and she thinks with her heart.

Although her naivety isn’t what it was in the start.

She works hard and plays hard creating life on her terms

But never forgets all those people who turned.

The lessons she learned were intense and unfair

Till today it gets tough to sometimes breathe in the air.

Nonetheless it’s a struggle which is foreign to few

No matter how big or small we know struggle’s not new.

Though hurt, worn, and scorned she continues her journey

With strength found anew in the hopes of a turnkey

She rises up from the ashes and walks out of the flames

Her hair glowing red without care who’s to blame

She has but her vision which she attains with her power

Her strength comes from warrior while delicate as flower

She has fallen many times but finds ways to get up

After all it’s the protagonist who makes the antagonist shut up

The lady in red knows who’s in charge of her life.

And will fight tooth and nail before they steal it with strife.

They may win the battles but she always wins the war

The red glowing inside leaves her wanting it more.

So mirror oh mirror who is that that you see

It’s the lady in red that is staring into me

Her eyes are her windows and her soul can be seen

It is mystic, all-seeing but her intentions all clean

Here is my message about the lady in red

You can run, you can hide, but she’ll be in your head

Her soul burns like a flame, her heart filled with desire

There is nothing to stop her from getting her red life attire.

So next time you see the pretty lady in red

Don’t underestimate the extent she’ll defend.
