TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE

Life has a beginning and an end. Before we are given the gift of life, we are given a mission and a due date. This is all done before we step foot on this earth. Here's the catch. When we are born, we must discover this mission and try to complete it before our expiry date which is unknown. Our life is filled with variables and in trying to figure out what those variables are in our equation, there is trial and error. Some uncover their variables and discover their mission before their expiry date and others do not. How do you know if your mission was completed? We don't until we go to heaven. Some of us will pass, some of us will fail. Life is funny that way. It is filled with obstacles and along the way, you have moments of laughter and happiness. But what is the in between? The laughter or the struggle? We have this illusion that life supposed to be happy all the time. No. This is wrong. Throw away the rose coloured glasses because this cannot be. Otherwise, our negative emotions would not be purposeful. How can they not be purposeful if everything is created with purpose? Negative emotions are not there to sabotage our existence. They are there to fuel motivation and perseverance in times of hardship. This is what they are supposed to be used for anyway but, they're not always put to good use. Many use negative emotion in unproductive ways and use them to exhibit problem-focused behaviour. The solution is never in the horizon. These are your negative Nelly's.
Instead, we must look at life for what it is. A balance. In the end, the peaks should equal the valleys. Our goal should be to be happy, but happiness, real happiness is not all peaks. It's impossible. Real happiness is living a balanced life. This is what true happiness is. Without the valleys, the peaks wouldn't be as enjoyable. We would take our peaks for granted. We take them for granted already even with all the valleys we experience. Imagine if all we had was peaks. We wouldn't appreciate anything.
Now, here's the crazy part. When we set out on our mission unknown, and are pushed into valleys of various depths, if we survive and persevere, we evolve into a more complex version of ourselves. We add another layer to the onion. There is a lesson to learn every time we approach a valley and without this lesson, we may never acquire the knowledge needed to get to complete our mission. So, we either learn or we don't and that choice is up to us. If we learn, we pass. If we don't, we fail. This is the repetitive cycle of life. The valleys are where we learn and become smarter and they arm us with the knowledge needed to cross the valley to come.
Without the valleys, we would never grow and we would never evolve.
Without growth and evolution, we will never discover our mission and will never know our true destination. What were you meant to do? What are you really good at? What is something you could do forever and feel bothered when you have to stop? What is that thing? Or, do you have more than one? What makes you tick? What doesn't feel like work? This is what you were meant to do. This is your mission. And this is different for every person on this planet. If every person discovered their gift, we would all fit together like a jigsaw puzzle. The world would work like a well-oiled machine and the unity would bring synergy.
We have a deadline. Every single one of us. Our deadline is unknown. Our deadline can come at any moment so we have to maximize the way we are spending our time in this life. Our time to complete our mission is finite.
We need to start acting like it. Whatever we are consistently working at will inevitably manifest itself. We are wired to be negative and think about lack and what we don't have or what we have too much of. Concentrate on these things, more and more of what you don't want will manifest. Concentrate on your goals and things that you have and want, the more they will manifest. To manifest, the equation is simple:
Consistency + work = manifestation
Now, imagine we were cognizant of how we spent our time consistently working on things we wanted to come true. Imagine. You want to create your life by design?
How you spend your time (consistency + work) = creating your life by design
There is a point to life and it isn't for us to live the life of a hamster. We were all born with a superpower. Our mission in this life we are given is to discover what it is. So do it. You're going to fall down. You're going to get hurt. People are going to come and knock you off your horse. It's part of the journey as we venture out into the unfamiliar. But when you arrive, you will know. You will feel it in your being. You will find inner peace and serenity. And balance will become your new comfort zone.
