WORDS ARE IMPORTANT

There is a saying we are taught as children. Sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me. This statement is the furthest thing from the truth. Words start wars. They create peace. They begin arguments. They break hearts. Can soothe hearts. Words are what we humans use to define our actions to ensure that misunderstanding and misinterpretation is lifted out of all situations and circumstances. The words we choose to speak are simply that, our choice. We can speak love and truth or lies and hate. It’s up to us what we choose. No matter which way we go, there is someone receiving your word choice. It is up to them on how they would like to receive your words. We are not other people so it is difficult to know for sure how our words will be received. To minimize misunderstanding, put yourself in the other person’s shoes. How would you feel if you had to receive your words? Me, my choice has been and will always be truth and love. To me, there is no other way to live. 💞☀️💫
